Usually the reason for that is less trailers headed to California and more trailers heading to Texas 😂🤣😂🤣 So they are having to pay freight to get the trailer back to Cali.

I'm sure the cost of doing buisiness in Cali is a lot more as well.

$75 seems a little cheap and off base though. Usually they automatically rent a trailer for a week when it's a destination rental like that.

Going rate around here is $20 a day for the little cargo trailers for a local rental.

I hate to tell you all but Texas is full! Don’t bother heading here, no room, nothing to see except high temperatures.

old fart here, 30 some years ago a major car rental firm in Florida (Avis I think) gave college spring breakers a 1 week free rental. The catch, the had to drive them out of Florida when they went back to school.

I haven't sampled the oreo peanut butter shake. I'm addicted to their Hot Fudge sunday shake though. 👍👍👍👍👍 My only complaint is you need to let them sit for about 30 minutes before drinking one. If not, you'll give yourself an aneurysm trying to get it through the straw.

Tennessee's full. Guy from Denver area bought the house across the street last year to eventually retire to. I met him once. Seemed nice enough - said he planned on visiting a few times a year until he retires. The virus hit and he hasn't been here. Sometime in June, I was talking to the guy who looks after the place. He said the new guy wanted to come in July. Yeah, who in their right mind wants to leave Colorado to visit West Tennessee in July? Must be the smoke.

Hope that doesn’t happen to you.

Had a similar influx here in the 70’s and 80’s with people moving down here to get away from metro areas in the northeast, particularly Rust Belt city areas. Some were wonderful people, but a lot would come here for lower cost of living, lower taxes, less pollution, less traffic, overall better quality of life. Then complain about how things were so different here. Government should provide more services, government should more closely regulate how people are allowed to use their land, fish and game laws need to be more restrictive and vigorously enforced, taxes need to be increased so the government can get more involved in everything under the sun, can’t have a cluster of houses without a HOA to make sure your grass is the right length and you don’t paint your house the wrong color. We needed all this because, as I heard numerous times, we were a bunch of dumb southerners who needed their help to fix everything. If they just came here and didn’t bring all those “progressive” ideas that already messed up the places they left, that would have been swell. But no; leave some place you obviously didn’t care for, come to a place you apparently prefer, and then do everything you can to change it into an exact replica of the place you just left because you hated it. Ain’t hard to figure out who the stupid one in that deal is.

I blame it all on air conditioning. Didn’t have it in my house or car until I was in my early 20’s. With A/C in every house, business, and car unless you work outside you don’t have to be in the heat for more than a few minutes at a time. Before A/C everywhere, summers were hot and humid enough to keep things too unpleasant for mass influx of people. (A 95 degree day at 98% humidity is pretty much like walking into your dishwasher right after the wash cycle ends, which is what our summers are. You sweat but it doesn’t evaporate so you get wet but doesn’t cool you at all.)

In NH we have NO state income tax and NO sales tax (except restruants and lodging).

The first thing the Mass. implants say when they rush up here is what about the unwed pregnant bears, you don't have a department/policy/handout for that?

Unfortunately, they have so successfully infiltrated the state, our no sales tax will probably be going away followed by the income tax. But hey, if you are an unwed pregnant bear, we should have a policy for you coming up.

The commiefornia influx has been going on here for years, finally reached the tipping point; lost both senate seats, supposedly went for jb, just passed the largest tax increase in the state's history, traffic is off the charts, & drove real estate prices through the roof.
I fail to understand why, after ruining their state, the first thing they do is move to a well run, wonderful state, and convert it to exactly what they moved to get away from. o_O
