Thanks for link. Seems like when I was shopping for tractors John Deere had some sort of easy connect but who wants a GREEN TRACTOR I'm sure most of the struggling to connect the bushhog and tiller were just me not being proficient at it. I'd be struggling and struggling pushing SO HARD on that button (the button on the implement) and it wouldn't move and then ALL OF A SUDDEN it would just push in and pop right on the pto EASILY. Drove me crazy how it was impossible one minute to depress that button and then having NO IDEA what I did differently the button depressed easily and the pto popped right on. Pretty sure I posted something on here about my frustrations. Again, I put this on operator error and will have to work on my technique here shortly. I'm sure I'll get better at it with time. Looking forward to trying the Pat's though in the coming weeks

Per a previous comment on this thread.........Knee Pads......that is another source of contention. Bought the highest rated set of knee pads last year as I've just wrapped up building a house and needed a new pair and those things would not stay on your knees. Gather up on your pants, go down your leg, etc, etc. Anybody got a GREAT pair of knee pads that work, are comfortable and stay in place please post a link.

Just had my new L2501 delivered yesterday with a QH10. I love it and is easy to hook up and go. Trying to push the button and slide the pto at the same time does not work......you slide the pto on as far as it will go, and then push the button pushing the final click....trying to do both at once from the beginning will have you cussing.....try it once my way. The land pride tiller and box blade fit perfect...I'm pleased with my purchase.

Something to consider - different style of QH

The Jiffy looks like a good product, from the video you shared, what they've got on YouTube, and their site. I wonder if that company is big enough to stay in the game, but their solution looks like it'd keep working even if they go away. Instead of bushings, you'd have to have a mount on each implement. But it looks rock solid then, as far as hooking up. And the pto connect is brilliant.

Looks great but my reading of their web info indicates you should make sure your model is compatible. From what I read, it appears the BX and B series are not compatible with this. They have a list, so check it against your model, whatever it is. And it'd be worth a call.

I just happened to have read a review about Carrhart kneepads in Fine Homebuilding last week. The reviewer noted that they aren't quite the same level of padding, but that they stayed in place all day. He said that he had forgotten he had them by the end of the day.

Since when has dealing with tractors and implements supposed to always be easy? This is all farm work of a sort and some labor and frustration should be expected.

Yep, persuaders have always been necessary! Mine include a 6-foot 2x4 and a heavy steel spud bar and a heavy hammer.

UPDATE: Installed the Pat's earlier today. Simple install but my top link is to short. I have a B2601, is there anything special I need to look for in a top link or will any longer cat 1 top link suffice?

I have the same question and meant to measure the one on my B2601 today. Heavy Hitch offers a nice looking top link that adjusts from 15.5 inches to 24". Is that long enough?

Not sure what the stock B2601 top link measured. Will check tomorrow. Maybe wrong but I think the longer ones are in the 32" range.

I looked up top links on TSC. Their regular CountyLine cat one is 28" but the extra long is 20" minimum and 32" maximum:

Good long top link
After adding Pat's Easy Change system to my 3-point lift arms, I needed a 4" longer top link, and this one works great. It is easy to hook up & lock after I figured out how to hammer the turn lever through the center of the body. Directions or suggestions would have been handy, but there were none. Found a suggestion in the question/answer section.

QC supply looks to have Speeco top links in 3/4" bolt and HD 1", some very long, but they are expensive:

If you need the length, sleeves will quickly adapt a Cat 2 top link down to Cat 1 pins.

Bit of a newbie so don't know what you mean by "sleeve". My implements are stored on pallets raised on casters. The pallets are great but I think being up a tad high may be the reason I'm needing more length on the top link.

Tom, the Pat's lengthened your tractor's lower arms. I think by about 4". You probably need a longer top link now to compensate. I don't know what the sleeves are either.

Have read one or two posts where Pat's users have said they didn't need to lengthen the top link. But most refer to needing to get a new one. I can't find much information on recommended brands or sources.

Yes was fully aware before hand this might be an issue due to the extra length the Pats adds to the lower arms. The pallets adds a separate and possibly contributing "arc" for lack of a better description issue to connecting the top link.

I understand the concept of a "sleeve" but not sure how to use a sleeve of some sort with a longer Cat 2 top link to extend or lengthen which seems like what is is being described above. Rural King and Tractor Supply both appear to carry 32" Cat 1 Top Links. Be later in the week before I can go get one to try.

I will say that even though I have yet to determine if the Pats will make it easier for me to connect the PTO, hooking up the lower arms was very simple. Took out a tape measure, measured the pins on my box blade which is what I was HOPING to use yesterday. Set the Pat's spacer bar accordingly, backed up and attached with ease. I'll just mark the Pat's spacer bar with a paint pen for all my implement widths...........then the top link issue . Then it was on to tractor plan B for the day.
