While there were a bunch of MD's and PhD's on the research team, our daughter was one of the main authors.....

She's not an MD or PhD, but does clinical research at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).

She started there with NICU experience, since she and her identical twin spent 2 weeks in NICU as premies....

A good feather in her cap. Spoken as a proud Dad.

While I've heard of it for years, I had to look it up:

" JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association is a peer-reviewed medical journal published 48 times a year by the American Medical Association. It publishes original research, reviews, and editorials covering all aspects of biomedicine."

Very cool, good for you and yours! In my previous life I worked on a clinical trial with the folks at CHOP. We brought one of their clinica'ls thru commercial development and FDA approval for a Leukemia treatment for mostly young kid’s.

Some very smart folks down there doing great work.

Fantastic! I passed along this article to my pregnant daughter who lives not far away from CHOP.
