OTT Freezing Browser

Why is OTT freezing my browser?

I use Edge and have no interest in changing to another browser, so do not recommend.

Anomaly started 3 or 4 weeks ago.

Sometimes, I can wait for response but other times must close window and reload. Sometimes must use Task Manager to close frozen window.

No other sites are freezing my browser, only OTT.

WTF?

this is my post on January 17,

Today I ran a little test and found as follows;
Memory used by various webpages at idle
Yahoo 400 mb
Weather Channel 960 mb
Fox News 660 mb
Tractor by Net 770 mb

Orange Tractor Talks 1.4 gb

This test was run on my desk computer running Google Chrome. OTT double the other web pages.

So my conclusion is, the ads in OTT is running up the memory usage to the point it overwhelms my little notebook laptop.

My task manager shows firefox running OTT at 255 mb. With a peak of 330

Ok I've made a change here to try and narrow down the source. Could someone who was seeing this before, who currently does not have an ad blocker installed (ie. ads would show if present) let me know if they are able to reproduce this issue still or if it looks to be resolved?

So far this morning the site appears to be using much less memory.
I'm running Microsoft Edge with no Ad Blocker

Checked again today, OTT site using 1.6 GB memory using Google Chrome on Windows 10 Computer

It's the ads. This site is hardly bearable with how it bogs down computer.

I use windows10 with FF and ad blocker. Never see any ads or have any trouble with forum.

No noticeable change.

Still freezing browser.

Using Edge and no plans to change.

Not using ad blocker.

Perhaps, but I don't have problems with ANY other sites.

Just checked again
OTT using 1.3 GB
Tractor by Net using 715MB
OTT using almost double what Tractor by net uses.
Still locking up - using Chrome

I have the same problem on Firefox and Chrome. Logged in or not.
It doesn't seem to do it on Android.

One interesting thing, Green Tractor Talks doesn't seem to have this problem.

I have no such issues on ANY of the other sites that I visit.
