So I am finally ready for my 2nd ever tractor. Sold my BX2680 when I moved to TX, and ordered an L2501 HST, SSQA, bucket and SSQA bale spear, and KTAC. Was $28.4K. Kubota still offering 0% financing. Daggum price of everything is through the roof.

Good choice! I have no complaints with mine. Does everything I need it to and more with no worries associated with pollution controls.

Yes, it appears that prices are through the roof. We bought a L2501 HST, SSQA with bucket and new set of 42 inch forks January 2022 for $18,500 no tax. Used but like brand new with only 69 hours on it. Paid cash - no KTAC. I'm glad we bought when we did.

Nice tractor! Congratulations. I'm guessing KTAC was about 3 grand?

Excellent choice. I'm very happy with the L.
When I bought my mower (at the K dealer), the sales guy said he thinks they are basically offsetting the 0% these days with the increased price. Lol!
Speaking of prices, I saved a screenshot of Door Dash McDonalds prices in March 2021. Today, the same meal is 22% more.

That 22% is surprisingly low, in comparison to MANY other things!

But they don't even fill the fry box completely! 😆
Most ice cream doesn't come in pints anymore either.
Only 14 oz. now, but at higher price.:(
It is commonly referred to as: "shrinkflation".

I don't know what it would have cost for KTAC. Purchased from a dealer that is not an authorized Kubota dealer and paid cash. We do have it insured for loss on our homeowners. Don't think we could get it from KTAC from what I found when I looked into it.

Can I purchase insurance through KTAC Insurance Agency if I pay cash for my equipment?

Yes! However, the Kubota-Endorsed insurance is only available for cash customers who can provide a bill of sale showing that they have purchased their Kubota equipment from an authorized Kubota dealer within the last 30 days.

Yeah, there was a thread bout this lately. In the 80s ice cream was 1/2 gallon. In the late teens, charcoal was 2 20lb bags. Now two 16s for the same price. 20% more pesos per pound.

You guess about right. I'd never get a Kubota and not get KTAC. Someone I know bought an M, tried to take it to another friends. "Forgot" to chain it to the trailer, and it flipped off the trailer into a ditch. Kubota delivered him a new one 3 weeks later. Yes, he is a dumbass.

This is why I always say KTAC is great for first time tractor owners. It's expensive, but it covers you for your own stupidity. Once you've gotten past the first owner stupidity, then you need to make your own assessment whether you're getting value from it or just subsidising other people's stupidity.

I always recall the optometrist offering my better half insurance on her glasses. I said to her "insurance works on the concept of pooling risk. If you're stupider than the average person, you'll come out ahead. If you're less likely to sit on your glasses than the average person, cheaper to just buy new glasses when you need them."

Tractor insurance is kind of the same, so long as you've covered third party liability (in the USA hurting someone else can be incredibly expensive), and so long as you can afford to fix what you break. If you break more stuff than the average person, get good insurance. If you don't get a high deductible and a policy that doesn't cover stupidity so much.

Congrats to both of you.

If this is your first tractor you gonna be saying "How did I ever live without this thing?" LOL

Much like people that survive without an air compressor....
'
Did you know there are people that actually go through life without an air compressor?

Like how does one even live without having compressed air? It's beyond my comprehension....seriously!

Then..... there are people like me, ......with 4 air compressors.
Biggest one is Quincy, 80 gal., pressure lubed, 5HP, two stage 175 psi, @ 20cfm.
At 82, I really don't need that one anymore.
Nope: It is not for sale!
