I have an L 3000 DT. I am looking at rear blades. King Kuttter, medium duty, 72 inch blade, model RB-OT-72 VS Hawkline Heavy duty blade 72 inch, model GB72 HD-ADJ. Both have offset and tilt. Any opinions on the two or the manufacturers ? Thanks.

I have a Land Pride Box Scraper (general field and property leveling and clean-up)and rear blade (snow moving and some leveling). Both are worth every penny. Very happy w both attachments.

One question,
Are you positive that you want to buy new? Check you local craigslist, I have found so many things.......ought to find one about 1/2 price and like a new bucket, ifn the paint aint scraped off, that blade aint being used!

I'm running 60 inch Land Prides. Box blade and a hydraulic angling rear blade and am very happy with both. Doing some pretty major road rebuilding with them.

Neither of them really looks like it will last. I have the King Kutter landscape rake, which is about equivalent to the medium duty blade. Not very impressive. I had to put a 1" collar on the king post to get rid of vertical slop. The Hawkline appears to be about the same. I'm afraid you could easily tear either one up.
As others just said, Land Pride makes a respectable blade. I have a 35 year old Rhino, which is a heck of a good one. CraigsList can get you a good HD name brand blade for decent money.

I have two different king kutter blades. No problem at all with either. Used both for earth grading and snow plowing.

I have found a rhino model R300 used on craigslist, looks in good shape,
asking 500. does this sound reasonable. This is a 7 foot model
Thanks

The scrapers here seem a bit expensive. I see a few new ones at Tractor Supply Store for about $350.

http://www.tractorsupply.com/en/store/countylinereg;-rear-blade-6-ft?cm_vc=-10005

Now these may not be heavy duty... but the 6 ft rake I bought from TSC will take anything my L3800 can dish out. My tractor will get stopped by the Rake before the Rake breaks. The best I could do is bent a few tines (teeth) pulling oversized rocks and I bent them back in place with a sledge hammer.

The TSC 3 pt equip is rated for a 45 hp tractor. I can imagine that if you are pulling with 45 hp the equip may get a very short life, but it you are pulling with 38 hp and under... I think the equip is stronger then the tractor.

I've seen the King Kutter 7' blade at Big R for $380 on sale. The 300 series is about Rhino's lightest duty line. $500 seems about a hundred high.
