My 2008 L3130 has been "clicking" off for a year or two while in motion but kept right on going after the brief click. Then one day it got pretty bad and I brought it back to the barn hoping I would make it. After all the Google greatness I replaced the fuel solenoid. Seemed to work fine for a couple of hours here and there. As in a brief trip to the woods to load firewood in the bucket, not mowing all day.

But today it got real bad. So now when it is just sitting on level ground in neutral when I turn the key to on I can hear the solenoid rapidly clicking "at times". I could wiggle the wires around the seat and it would stop and then I could keep wiggling and it would not start again. I would do nothing and it would start again.

Started wiggling around the battery and found my positive post cable was lose/bad. Repaired it. Seemed to fix it, but then again it started.

So all this is without the tractor even running. The key is just in the on position. So it seem that whether I wiggle anywhere on not it does not seem to make a difference. It may click or it might not. And when I say click, I do not mean on....off...on....off, it clicks of and on instantly.

I am leaning toward this OPC switch. But I was wondering if I could do anymore steps before spending over a hundred bucks on a hunch. I suppose if I unplug it and never get a click? Some have mentioned jumping/bypassing but I an not sure what wire where to try that.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated !

Thanks,
Grey

From what I know it can only be one of two ways to bypass the safety switch. Unplug it and it will work. Or Jump the two wires together and it will work. There are probably weird set ups with multiple wires I haven't seen. Mine have all been two wires.

I've done many seat belt safeties and ran into them being either of those conditions depending on the car. I always wear my seat belt. But my dogs are/have been heavy enough to trigger the alarm when riding shotgun.

As a side note. This is an un-safety switch on my B2601. I am about 175, but tall enough I usually push back into the seat when I am standing on the hydro peddle. But I have still killed the engine and created diaper changing moments. Put Mama Nomad on there and she comes off the seat just trying to step on the hydro peddle. Having said that, I have never engaged the seat belt. That might solve everything without disabling the switch.

Yes every safety switch, PTO, Clutch, HST, Seat switch all has something to do with the OPC's operation.
Some switches can work intermittently thus causing issues or erratic operation.

In order to give you a possible testing path would need to know what model you are dealing with, because L3130 or Kubi9ta L3130 (Your equipment listed in your profile)???
Does not tell me which one your working with.
Your choices are:
L3130 DT
L3130 GST
L3130 HST
L3130 F
L3130 DTC
L3130 GSTC
L3130 HSTC
L3130 FC

As each model has a different electrical system.

Thanks,
Must be a DT? 4wd 8speed manual transmission
Well I just went out and looked and the plate just says L3130D

No clue if this means anything. For years now, when I engaged the PTO, the shaft turns immediately, but the display may not say PTO on for a couple of minutes

L3130D not L3130DT is the correct model number.

I'll have to dig into the whole electrical setup deeper.
But i can tell you that the pto lever has a cable for engagement but has 2 switches for electronic interface and control.
