I just purchased a used 3point hitch wood chipper for my BX23s . Am I missing something or can I not leave the tractor seat with the wood chipper PTO engaged. I know I can start the trac5or while not seated if the parking brake is engaged but it dosen't seem to be the case with the pto. Is the only solution a jumper in the seat switch?

I think you have to flip the seat up in order to use the PTO chipper.

Yeppers flip the seat up and be sure the PTO lever is in the rear PTO and you are good to go!

Thanks all for the info. I did go on the intertubes and found the mentioned solution on a couple of videos. I guess in my excitement of using the new equipment I wasn't thinking straight.

I think its safe to say the Operator's Manual is a better source of basic information than the innertubes (sic).
