I just want some assurance that this should be the neutral safety switch?
When attempting to move the tractor, the OPC 5 amp fuse blows making the tractor stop (and turn off) dead in its tracks. Can this be a neutral safety switch adjustment issue or total replacement or something else possibly?

I have a cab tractor and it looks like a very tight place to change it out. :0(

Thanks

Not knowing the model makes this a guessing game:
or the seat switch
or the shuttle switch
or the other seat switch
or the PTO switch
or the clutch switch
or the wiring
or even the OPC itself

Thanks, no apology necessary just need to know to give you the best answer.
Do you have the WSM (aka Service Manual)?

Below is a list of possible switches and wiring paths that can blow that fuse.

If it's only blowing the fuse when you push the HST pedal, then yes the most likely candidate is a bad HST switch or wiring.

I have the same tractor, just a little older.
I had the neutral safety switch go bad. It had an intermittent short to ground.
I bypassed the switch with a jumper wire and the intermittent fuse blowing stopped.
I replaced the switch and have not had any more trouble.

This chart is from the B 2650s/B 3350 manual. Item one is starting the Tractor while in the seat and item 5 is starting the tractor while not in the seat. Item 10 would be running the rear PTO with the seat vacant, think generator, or wood shipper, etc.. something to remember is that when you step on the HST pedal you also need the seat switch to show occupied, on, otherwise the tractor will shut down. Personally, I would check my configuration with items seven, eight, 12, or 13. I hope this helps.

Update: It was a bitch to get out and almost as hard to put back in. But it was the "neutral safety switch" on the treadle pedal. Even though I got it replaced, I am still unable to get the nut tightened. I've ordered an angled wrench and a larger set of crows foot wrenches. 1-1/16" is needed and there is only a couple of inches of room to get to it. I had to use a screw driver and hammer to rotate the nut enough to get it loose. Hopefully the new tools will enable me to get the nut(s) tight. Thanks for everyone's input and I hope this helps others in the future.
