Skeets, another aspect of these types of health problems is there are those who never went to a battle front who still have the challenges.

As a society we can not just put our head in the sand and act like everything is OK! People need to feel free, and not criticized or laughed at, to get help.

I think you bringing it up on a forum helps, at least some people get a bigger perspective.

D2 you have a great point! Mental illness is something that needs to be addressed. I lost a brother from another mother( cousin) that looking back was probably bi polar. I do not understand this or have any idea how to deal with this type of illness or how anyone could do that to the people that care about them. This is my issue not theirs.

I do not want to take away from skeets initial post because we as citizens we owe these people so much, young and old! As a father I also feel for the family of this young man, to worry while he is away only to have him come back and loss him?
