Make sure to keep that chain lubricated. I used chain bar oil on mine for years, and when the original broke, I purchased a 10' box of chain at Tractor Supply and made my own chains rather than paying Kubota $90 for a single chain. The might not have lasted as long, but it takes about 15 minutes to change out the chain and adjust the tension. You should lubricate the chain after every storm and also check the tension periodically throughout the season. Also change the gear oil in the gearbox once a year, preferably in the summer when the warm summer air warms the gear oil and it flows more readily. The gear box Allen screws are held in with Loctite and you need to warm it a little before attempting to remove it.
