Really old thread here but I always intended to post pics when I was done. So for the record I passed on the 'rice paddy tiller' and waited and waited for the right craigslist deal to come up. When it did, I knew enough to jump on it straight away and travel with a wad of cash.
Ended up getting a Sovema (Italian made I believe) 48" tiller that's done a great job for me. Cost about $800 if I remember correctly. Before I got the tiller I did get the farmer next door to plow an 80'x80' patch for me, but I then extended it myself. So for the record, it is possible to till old sod with a B7000 and 48" tiller, without plowing first.
