I was watching one of those reality cop shows the other day and some old man shot at one of the Amazon drones that hovered over his house. They arrested him and charged him with a felony.

LOL yup! He told the cops straight up why and how he did it.

Said it cost around $10K in damage to the drone even though it flew off immediately after he shot it. Apparently, Amazon was testing the device at the time and it was the Amazon operator who viewed him on camera shooting at it and called it in to police.

We can't corroborate any of the over 3000 sightings.

A few+ years back a non-resident neighbor bragged about his new drone. Then we discovered he was using it during hunting season to see if we were home and if we were out and about. He was 'Mr. Poacher' deluxe, trespassing if he could and he would. We were thoroughly offended at the invasion and he just laughed. "I'm just spotting." It's legal, you don't own the airspace. He was legally correct.

It just so happened that when we heard the thing that I began plinking. It is interesting practice to shoot at a high angle. It was fun! All of a sudden he was really mad at us.
