Over the last week or so I have gotten the blue screen of death on my new dell desk top. The screen comes up saying something about windows has encountered a problem and must shut down.
And it gives this as the problem code,,,, dxgmms2.sys ,,,,,, Now I have come up with it is a Windows 10 error coming from a newly loaded program,, blaw blaw blaw putter geek talk, and I have no idea what it is or does. So the question is this,,, is this something I should be concerned with or is it just something that's going to be a PIA, until I get pissed and use this thing for target practice or is there some kind of a fix. I tried calling Dell but to no avail, I don't speak Hindi from India. And they could not give me any answers.

If it's a new Dell skeets, call dell and tell them to fix it. Don't ask them how you can fix it, act stupid and l t them do it. They have great costumer service, but yes sometimes you get someone that's difficult to understand.

Skeets, You've helped me with orange issues and I appreciate it too. That is a driver error. Look at your installed programs you should see a Dell folder. Under that there should be a Dell Client System update OR a Dell Command Update program. This program will go out to Dell's site and update any drivers that need updating on your system. Keep running it until it finds no more updates to install. What you're going to run in to is once they've updated you'll need to run Windows Update until no more windows updates are found. This will probably fix your problem.

If not, and the machine is still under Dell warranty, you can go do Dell's support site support.dell.com and key in your serial number, start a chat session with support at Dell and they will help you through your problem. I advise doing a chat session rather than calling since there is no telling where your will be and what their dialect will be.

Good Luck. Drop me a PM if ya need further help.

Skeets, can you grab a photo of your error message (s)? There is a lot of useful information on them that will usually give away what the problem is.

BSOD usually indicates a hardware problem. Yours sounds like perhaps the video. Other common cause is the ram. Take both out and re-seat them.
If you have more than one ram stick, run with one at a time only, to see if the error follows the ram or not.
If all drivers are up to date (use only the Dell drivers...), not likely a driver issue, unless you added or changed hardware.
Otherwise, if this machine is new and under warranty, return it for warranty repair. Document the errors (pictures are good), and how often it happens. Be sure to backup you personal files, as Dell may re-image the machine.
If you can do a system restore, do so to the earliest time you have (past week or two). If the error persists, points to hardware again. If the BSOD goes away, then it was a software issue.
That said, if you have a recovery partition or recovery media, you can try to restore to factory defaults and see if the crashes still happen. If so, return it for warranty repair. If the crashes go away, then it must have been something you added (software possibly)
