I'm such a girl. I have never been able to get the hood open on my tractor. BX2200, it goes in yearly for service but I myself have never been able to open the hood. Now it won't start. I know there has to be fuses somewhere but where and how to get to them.

Bought the tractor used and the transporters lost the manual on the way. Promise I'll try to buy a new one but for now I really need to mow and it's dead.

On the right side of the dash is a small lever that sticks up, pull it back toward the seat and it unlocks the hood. The hood should pop up slightly but may need a slight bump. The fuse panel is in front of your knees, that wire looking screen. Unscrew the knob and that screen comes off, may require a little wiggling. The fuse panel is one the right side.

Yep, this is how to open the hood and check the fuses (and battery).

My hood release requires pulling that black lever and banging on the hood with my fist right in the middle rear - right where the hood and dashboard meet. The latch is right under where you need to bang. It should spring open then.
