I have a kubota B2320 HST my grandson changed the oil in it , then when he went to start it he said that oil shot out towards the front of the engine somewhere. what can i do to see why this happened?

Check the oil level. Have him show where he poured it in and ask how much he used. Check the oil filter, maybe he has two gaskets or no gasket.
By all means do all of the above then clean the mess off the engine. Have the grandson start the tractor while you see exactly oil shoots out of the engine. It could even be unrelated to the oil change.
