oil pressure light flickering - B7100

I have a 1983 B7100 HST with about 2600 hours. I recently changed the oil and filter. I used the recommended oil (10w30) and a Kubota filter. The last time I used my tractor to cut the lawn and after about an hour of use I noticed the oil pressure light started to flicker with the RPMs around 1500-2000. The light does not stay on but flickers on/off. The tractor is running fine otherwise. I drained the fresh oil and did not see any metal particles. My next step is to try changing the filter based on what was said in another post and from there test oil pressure with a mechanical gauge. Any other ideas? Thanks

try changing the electrical sending unit that bolts to the block. they have known to fail, around $15. would also recommend testing with a mechanical gauge while you have the sender out. if you cannot find a metric adapter for the mechan fitting use the SAE wrapped with 2-3-wraps of PTFE tape. make sure to clean all traces of the tape out when replacing the sender. it WILL interfere with the electrical connection.

Thanks hickory, but I forgot a critical piece of info. only place the temp mach adapter threaded in enough to seal. 1.5 turns should do it at most and report back your findings as it may help others in our small community.
