Well, getting no response, i decided to just go for it. This old L260 is the one i bought in August and repainted and repaired. I drained out the ancient motor oil that was in it and refilled it with Rotella t 15w-40 back on Sept fisrt. Today I ran the tractor hauling trailer loads of firewood from the woods up to the shop all day. I then put the old L260 in the shop and drained the oil that I put in there on Sept 1st. It came out black as pitch. I pulled the side cover off the engine and inside the crankcase it was SPARKLING CLEAN! My oil strainer is different from the one shown as it removes out the side of the block below the side cover. It was perfectly clean, too. I wiped out the insides of the oil pan area, reassembled the whole affair and put on a new NAPA Gold spin on oil filter and more Rotella-T 15-40. Started her up and put her in her shed. I'm pleased that everything looked so good inside there!
