I went to start my BX 2380 ( 2017) and normally in the on position with the key the gas light and the temp light come on and then go off and I can heat glow plugs in next postion and start tractor

Today when i put key in on postion i noticed the normal gas and temp light and then they go off but I have the oil pressure light and battery light that are staying on and i hear constant ticking - then when i start the tractor all lights on dash go out like normal-

Is battery going bad? Very wierd? looked in book but didnt find anything

ANy help would be great

While I don't have that model tractor as long as the lights go out when the engine is running eveverything should be fine. I would think its just like a car with the key in the on position the battery and check engine light will come on until you start the engine.

The battery light is basicly telling you are draining the battery and its not being charged. Oil pressure light is kinda self explanatory.

When you turn on the key the engine isn't running. Since it's not running there is no oil pressure, hence the warning light. Your alternator is not charging the battery so you get a warning on that one, too. Once you start the engine it makes oil pressure and the battery begins charging so the lights go off. If they come on when the engine is running you have a problem.

Im with roadworthy and others here. This sounds like normal operation. Is it possible your tractor has always done this and you just havent noticed? The only thing that does seem a little odd is this constant clicking noise you mention in the on position. The lights staying on sounds normal - My L2501 behaves this way - the lights stay on if the ignition is in the ON position.

I would address the clicking though - especially if its something new.

Could ticking be coming from Hour meter?

Idiot lights coming on when key is ON is the way to show you the bulbs are working otherwise, should you develop low oil pressure and have a burned out bulb, you would get no warning.

You sit above the fuel tank an below that you will find an inline fuel filter and an electric fuel pump to get fuel up to the injector pump.

You're probably a new owner, I recommend you watch this video on 400 hour service - shows filter locations and fluid changes. You should have a 50 hour engine oil change coming up.
