Oil level

I recently changed the engine oil in my L3200. The dipstick shows the oil at the correct level. But there is no oil in the sight glass.
Which one should I go by?

there is a dipstick AND site glass for the engine oil???? I thought the hydraulic had a site glass only.

You have a dipstick for the engine and a site glass for the rear end and hyd level. I think your engine is 6qts with a new filter.
