off topic tractor and mower question

I was getting gas at a local station this morning and noticed a massey ferguson 1020 on a trailer at the next pump over. The tractor had what appeared to be a mid mount mower but everything attached to the rear 3 point hitch and was powered by a drive shaft connected to the rear pto that changed over to a belt to send power to the blades. I was distracted by a phone call before I could take any pictures or catch the owner before he drove off. I haven't seen one of these before. Does anybody know more about them?

Several equipment makes made models like that.
Older Kubota's used those and engine crank shaft driven models too.

Woods was one of the most common manufactures of them.

Can't tell you about the mower, cause I don't know the model number/color...

The MF 1020 was built by toyosha, same as an Allis 5020, I think. there is also a hinmoto import like an E series, (I forget the number) that is also very similar. Hard to get parts, on these, now...
