Off Road Diesel

With the cost of diesel fuel lately I know quite a few folks that run off road diesel in there newer trucks even though the owners manuals say use of off road diesel can damage fuel systems and emissions systems. Both GM and Ford owners manuals say this. But is on road and off road that much different ?? My tractor has a small sticker that says
Use Ultra Low Salfa Diesel
And when I buy on road diesel there's a sticker on the pump that says the same. So is off road diesel Ultra Low Sulfa also ??

There use to be a large sulfur difference between the two - but that has long passed.

All diesel both on road (taxed) and offroad (non taxed) are the exact 15 parts per million in the sulfur content. Been this way for over 12 years.

The info on diesel trucks was printed a while back thus those warnings were in place,
