I recall having seen, yaers ago, a screwdriver with a spring steel gizmo near the tip which held the screw onto the tip for one-handed use. Is anything similar available now? My Google fu isn't working on it.

[I'm presently struggling under the dashboard of my B7200HST and am in an area where a couple of very small brass screws need to be inserted by feel--I'm not sufficiently flexible to find a position where I can see the work.]

Can anybody tell me where to find these screwdrivers?

Klein makes a screw holding screwdriver for slotted screws. I have one for Phillips screws ...possibly made by General.

Used to have one but lost it long ago. For the odd time when I need to hold a screw I use a wrap of electrical tape. strong enough to hold onto the screw and releases easily.

There’s one even in the cheapest HF screwdriver-set: The entire set is less than $7…(Third down on the left)

option #2... a dab of nail polish. use it to secure the screw onto the screwdriver.think of it as poorman's locktite. strong enough to hold yet once screw it tight, screwdriver comes off

option #3.. remote camera.several to choose like car rear mtd systems, cellfone app, etc.actually allows you to SEE what's there. 'fun' part is orientation(down is p, up is sideways, etc.....

Back in a previous life when I was an apprentice electrician I had one. Worked very well.
It grew legs at some jobsite as I recall.

Nowadays I poke a hole in a 2" long pc of electrical tape and put the screw through it and then loosely tape the whole mess onto the screwdriver. Once I get the screw started a couple turns I remove the screwdriver and yank the tape off the screw. Depending on access, this is sometimes tricky.

That's the style I have except on one end, there is a magnet.
The magnet was for when you dropped the screw on the breaker plate, it rolled into a hole, then into the bottom of the housing, making you disassemble it to get it back

You may not have enough room to use a long screwdriver, and being brass a magnet won't help. I often times use a dab of mustache wax on the screw head. Then just use the tools you have. Works!

Thanks to all for the suggestions. Got the problem licked for now. One size of screw was handled with a short piece of flexible tubing forced over the screwdriver bit and the screw head; the other by attacning the screw to the bit with electrical tape.
Now I can kick the "which screwdriver?" question down the road to the next time I'll wish I had one.
