I live in Australia and I got sent the wrong three orings for the gear case cover for the M4500DT. These are the ones that feed from the oil pump and back through the block to lubricate crank and cam. The gear case has circular channels cut out to fit the orings in.
The first ones sent were #04814-00150
They seemed too large, I could not work them in, they were just to big and went round in circles trying to work them in.
I got new ones replaced quoting the correct number 04810-00150 However they sent me 04817-00150
I called my supplier and he said the number 04810 was superseded with 04817 and that is the correct number.
These are OEM parts.
I managed to work them in circling them with my fingers but I was a bit worried they could pop out. They are maybe slightly smaller than the ones first sent but I had to work them in firmly circling around and around to get them to seat.
If the gear case goes on and they don’t come of they will seal okay.
Maybe this is how they are supposed to fit, I don’t know does anyone?
( I have a plate over them now with a bit of weight on to bed them in so to speak).
They look like they will stay but I must be careful putting the gear case back on.
I looked on messics and the 04810 has hundreds of kubotas that fit including the M4500DT
However the 04817 on messics has 600 models they fit but no mention of M4500DT only M4900DT.
Does anyone know if I can find the superseded reference numbers for Kubota?
Perhaps the 04810-00150 is the same size as the 04817-00150 and they are supposed to be pushed in firmly in a circluar motion rather than fitting neat in to the circular groove. Any advice please?
