I too opted for a B instead of a BX mostly because of my rough yard. The larger wheels allow faster mowing and keep the back pain to a minimum. I probably would have gotten a BX if my yard would have been smoother. They can do pretty much anything the B can do...albeit a bit slower. But the lower center of gravity is a plus.
