Just don’t take that shortcut through the scrapyard! Or park it in my shop next to the lathe or mill.

The 'eddy current' principle is used on those 'freefall drop -scare the beejeebers out of you' rides
100% failsafe, no power needed, NO COMPUTER to 'crash'.....

Yeah, that's an interesting mechanism, but it doesn't have any torque multiplication for climbing hills. There's always some slippage and eliminating the brakes and free-wheeling are not improvements.
