I have been working on my B7100 HST 4x4 and it is running perfectly so now the next stage.

I have the 60 inch mower deck mounted in the mid section which works well but does not hydraulically lift up. I checked all the linkage connections and they seem fine.

The 3 point hitch lower link lift arms function normally up down and the the lift brackets attached to them seem OK as well.

The mower connecting rods from the lift brackets are adjusted to the correct length of 24.8 inches according to the manual.

So how is it the deck does not raise up or lower hydraulically ?

See my pictures.

Thanks.

Bill

I'm not and expert but it looks like the linkage is off.
Looking at the first 2 pic's, if the 3 point was in the same position there is some thing wrong. Also in pic 3 it's not sitting on top of the 3 point, that tells me something is not sitting right there.

By looking at the picture of the pivot arms that ride on the 3 point lift arms, they are in the "mower raised" position. There are 2 other short hanger brackets elsewhere under the tractor to "hang" the mower from in a raised position so that you can continue to use your 3 pt without having to remove the mower. Make sure they aren't done up or the mower won't raise or lower even though all the linkages do. Usually they are just pinned to the tractor at the top and just hang there until you need them.

Edit: After looking at the pics again, I think the hangers are shown in the first 2 pics. In pic 1 I think its the linkage on the left needs to be disconnected at the bottom pin and then turned 90 degrees to the left and repinned there to the other linkage for storage? and in pic 2 its the one on the right.

I think you've got it. I see how the that linkage would keep the deck from raising. I will get out there tomorrow and re-pin the linkages.

BTW the lift arms were partly lowered to take the picture.

I'll keep you all posted on how it turns out.

Thanks a bunch.

Freewheel3,

I adjusted the links and the deck now moves up and down hydraulically. The manual definitely needs some work in that area.

Thanks again.

Any chance you know of a fix for a sticking forward pedal ? It doesn't spring back to the neutral position from the forward position.

Make sure you grease the foot pedal pivot and then follow the linkage back to the HST unit (there is a spring there), lubing any other pivot points you find along the way. Also make sure nothing is bent or binding.
