I have a 1983 L3350. I have no power to the fuse block, but I do have power to the starter, I can jump the starter and the tractor will run, but the key does nothing. I tested the fuse block and have no power there, no lights and no gauges. Any ideas?

I wish I had more knowledge to share but I will see if I can give you a couple of options to explore. I do not know about your model since mine is only a few months old but on my unit, they have two large slow blow fuses and one of those is in front of the fuse block I believe. If you have the same arrangement on your tractor, find the slow blow. My other obvious thought is broken wire to the fuse block. Just a thought. You may already know both of those possibilities but thought I see if it helped. I am open to correction if I am way off. :D

Sounds like you have blown the main fuse (cube fuse) that is down by the starter. ;)

The main fuse block on mine is right below the steering wheel, I don't know of another fuse block on it. But I will take a look. thanks

Do you have a test light or meter?
Test the main fuse and then start at the fuse bock and head back to power, the problem is probably in the switch.

Agree with Wolfman with a caveat. About 2 years age I had the same problem, good battery and dynamo - had them load tested - but still no power to anything. The fusible link - main fuse - tested ok but still nothing worked. After eliminating everything else I used a SMALL wire instead of the fusible link to see if the dash would light up and it did. (used a small wire in case I had missed something the wire would melt before anything else) Got a new fusible link and the tractor has run since. The fusible link was broken inside but did not show any outward sign of a problem. When I tested it I must have moved it just enough for the broken wires to make contact.

I do have a tester, but I was not aware of an inline fusible link. Beside the starter on mine is a small white plastic cap that plugs in and it has a small wire tail that comes out of the cap and then back into the cap. I thought that was the fusible link between the starter and the main fuse block. I will have to explore a bit to see what else I find! Thanks for the tips.
