A year or so ago I bought a venerable B7100D, which has been an awesome little tractor, emphasis on little. Today I bought a B2150HST because I liked the 7100 so much. It looks like the entire thing is fully functional *except* the 3 pt hitch doesn't always raise. When it does raise it seems like it's working fine, but it doesn't raise about 95% of the time. It also looks like the lever to raise and lower the 3pt hitch is "positiona", in that if one puts the level in the middle it should put the 3pt hitch in the middle of it's travel and stop there. It doesn't do that; it only goes up at the far upper end of the lever's travel, and it goes down when moved to maybe "6" or so. I was hoping this was excessive operator headspace, but I have been utterly unable to locate a downloadable operator's maual for this tractor. I found a WSM but looking at it doesn't reveal any particular operator setting that seems to relate. I'm hoping there's some simple thing that I'm missing, like some flow director or another is simply in a place that keeps it from working, like the redirector valve on the B7100 that makes it run either the 3pt hitch or the front blade. Best case I'd fnd a downloadable operator's manual, barring that guesses what I may check would be cool, too.

Thanks for your time...

Lookup position control feedback rod adjustment in that WSM.

You are absolutely spot on, TheOldHokie. After posting this, and having looked at the WSM previously, it was pretty obvious the position feedback rod is completely torn off. Dunno how that could happen, but the lever that rod activates was pushed all the way forward. Pushed it back as far as I could and it "works" now, in that moving the lever above about 6.5 on the scale it goes up, below 6.5 it goes down, and putting the lever at 6.5 makes it stop. Certainly not working up to spec, but functional enough, hopefully until later when I'll pull the tractor into the garage and do a full end-to-end maintenance. I'll fix stuff like this, the completely dead gauges (easy check lights work), move the 3pt hitch anti-sway to the inside where it belongs, etc. Would do it right now but there's a camper in there needs repair first.

Thanks for your time...
