Newby Tows B2601 Down Highway

Catchy title huh?

Was not sure where to post this, but if I screw this task up, I'll need repairs for sure.

I need to haul a B2601 about three hours down the highway. Apart from the discussion about tow vehicles, trailers, loading, balance and insurance - an important discussion to be sure - my question is about the hard cab and wind resistance. I believe this unit has the Kubota hard top installed. Should I plan on removing the glass (and doors?) before travel? Is that a difficult operation? I just dont want to look back and see the cab tear loose.

What hard cab? You have a B2601 they do not come with a factory cab. You must have an aftermarket cab? If so which?

Providing ALL the windows are up, doors LOCKED should be as easy as pulling a 'travel ' trailer.
If you can't lock the doors, secure with a ratchet strap ?
I see guys hauling 'johnnyonthespots' around here, never find any in the ditches.....

I'd be more worried about a stone being kicked up and shattering the glass than wind resistance or having the entire cab ripped off. Unless of course the cab is held on to the tractor by 4pcs 1/4-20 bolts!

It probably has a Curtis cab on it that's what most dealers put on them and as mentioned above just make sure it's closed up tight and you should be good to go.

Thanks all for the responses. I guess im not certain which cab it has just that it was "hard sided with glass, wipers and a heater".

Its a long story....lol
