Looking at purchasing my first larger Kubota. Have it down to the M5-111 4WD but am unsure on a few things - could use some advice. Will be used on +/- 125 acres of land to mow, put in food plots, move gravel, etc. -- fair amount of hills.

1. unsure of to get the HDC12 or the HDC24 transmission and why??
2. seems adding a 2nd rear remote/valve will be sufficient and then adding a 3rd function valve up front just in case for the future??
3. If I order the 12 or 24 speed its my understanding that I dont need to select adding the 540/540E PTO option and lever/switch as this come Standard on the 12 and 24 trans. models..??
4. unsure on the 84" round back bucket or the 84" High Capacity roudn back bucket??

Here's what I have spec'd out: (opinions on anything missing I might need?)

--M5-111HDC24 - 4WD Tractor with 24 speed, Hydraulic Shuttle & Cab
--Front: 12.4-R24 on 11" Rims Titan Tru Grip Lug
--Rear: 18.4-R30 Titan Hi Power Lug
--2nd Rear Remote Hydraulic Valve
--Front Load (quick attach)
--84" Two-lever Quick Attach Round Back Bucket
--Third Function Valve Kit for Cab
--Dual Speed PTO Kit (540/540E)
--Heavy Duty Front Weight Bumper Kit and 10 suitcase weights
--Drawbar Clevis
--Grille Guard PNF
--Air Ride Seat Suspension Upgrade Kit
--Instructor Seat Kit
--Rear Window Wiper Kit w/Washer
--Electric Defogger/High Cap. Alternator Kit
--AM/FM/Blue Tooth Stereo

Yes, I know cant use the front weights at same time as the loader...

thanks in advance for help in deciding which way to go and why....

Yes the economy 540 is standard on both. IMO yes on the second set of remotes.

Third function? IF you want run a grapple or hydraulic angling blade that would be nice to have.

For you 12 speeds would be sufficient. If you plan on baling or tillage 24 speed would be more appealing for real farming. In that same thought you could go with a euro hookup instead of SSQA. Personally I would stick with SSQA with 84 HD round back bucket.

Go ahead and get as many rear remotes as you can. Don't know about that one but the MX tractors the max is 3 with the factory setup. Lots cheaper to get it now than later, and you never know what you may come up with to use on the back.

Definitely get the 3rd function up front.

12 or 24? I'd get the 24, just so you can have more options to get the right speed.

Also...I'm ordering a 15' batwing and an 8' fixed mower.

Looking at the RC4615 for batwing and the RCR2596 for the 8'.

Quesiron...
For the 8' fixed mower do I want the one that's considered a "tow behind" or the one hooked up to 3 point hitch.
I had figured the tow behind one.....?

Thanks

One last question....has to do with the rear remotes / values...

If I go ahead and get 3 rear remotes/valves...not sure I understand which to get..and how many of each..?

2 self canceling and 1 float or all 3 self canceling or ??

I personally would do one valve with float, it gives you another option.

I would go with a three point 8' mower as it would be easier to back up re-position and maneuver if need be.;)
