Hi

New to the forum, thought I'd do a little intro, didn't see specific place to do that.

64 and retired, once from the Navy in 1990, and then completely retired in 2012.

Born and raised on a small farm in central Michigan, been around tractors since the 50's. Bought a John Deere 750 compact in 1988 just before I retired from the Navy, used it around my little hobby farm (sheep, chickens, large garden) for the next 27 years.

Got tired of blowing snow on an open station tractor with no live PTO and no power steering, so got permission from The Boss (we all know who she is...) and have ordered a B2650/cab. The 750 was sold yesterday and I will be delivering it to it's new owner tomorrow. Hope we don't get snowed on too much while I'm waiting on the new one to get here:eek:

Looking forward to chatting with the members here and learning the ins and outs of my new toy!

Welcome Paul!

Lots of former service members on these boards. As you probably know, tons of great experience to lean on. Lots of great personalities too. Looking forward to the pictures...

Welcome Paul,
I'm new to OTT as well. Since joining, I've learned a tone of "what not to do" and another tone on everything else.

Can't wait to see the pictures:D

Welcome to OTT, I can't justify a B, but I sure like them, especially the newer ones.

Paul,

Welcome to OTT. Lots of good info for research and experienced folks to answer any questions you may have. Plus some really nice old Navy guys.

Howdy, Burt.

I was a Cryptologic Technician, Maintenance branch. Think Electronics Tech with a fancy clearance. Spent a tour at a Mobile Technical Unit in Charleston (MOTU-10) in the early 80's, spent a LOT of time in radio rooms while I was there.

Retired as an SCPO.
