I'm looking to buy a Pat's Easy Hitch for my Cat 1 implements. I found a Cat 2 for cheap. What is the difference between Cat 1 and Cat 2 and most importantly will the Cat 2 work with my Cat 1 implements???

If the hitch IS CAT2 , all you need are some 'Cat2-Cat1 conversion bushings' on your Cat 1 implements. The 'pin' diameters are different.
Most of the 'quick hitches' are Cat2 for the latches( 2 lower connections),so the mfrs sell adapters for them.
You can generally use a lower cat # implement with a higher cat# hitch providing the pin to pin distance is met, which usually is adjustable on the tractor side.

A Cat 2 Pat's will not work with Cat 1 implements.
If you modified your implements to Cat 2 (bushings) then it would work.
Not worth the trouble.
Buy a Cat 1 Pat's, for use with Cat 1 implements.

Thank you both for replying. I’m not gonna go get bushings and what not. The added time and cost of the bushings will probably make a good deal not so good!…lol. I will just get a Cat 1 and be done with it.

I am not sure what needs to be changed on the link arm…I have a pats cat 1 on my B and a QH cat 2 on MX and I share implements between the two. I suspect when attach pats to your link arm it may need a bushing or adapt too (I am not sure for cat 1 arms). But as farm as the implements, I use simple bushings like these on my implements if need to change the size. I am not sure how good your deal is, yes bushings are cheap, or you can swap out pins, but I guess depends on how many implements you would be messing with. But bushings are not much and doesn’t take much talent to slide them on IMO.

I would be more concerned about attaching Pat's Cat 2 to the Cat 1 lifting arms. The Cat 2 pins are probably too large for the Cat 1 arms. Sticking with Cat 1 is probably best.

Good decision. Cat2 used with bushings adds extra “play” (looseness) to an already loose piece of equipment.

You will love the Pats QH (Cat 1). Makes hooking up the box blade a 1 minute task coupled with a dolly and hydraulic top link.

Well guys, I found a really good deal on a Pats Cat 1. It was brand new but missing the stabilizer bar and those washers. However, I got it for $75 so even after buying the stabilizer bar and washers I will probably save $75-$100!

You really do not need the "stabilizer" bar.
That is really only a convenience item, to set the distance between arms.
Some use a piece of small diameter rebar, bent to a 90 degree angle at each end.

Regarding the width bar, depending on how many implements you have and how different the widths are, paint a mark on the width bar (it’s a jig to me I am not sure what to call it). I’ve not done it yet, but I plan to take a cheap wooden yard stick and cut notches to use as a width guage to repeat the settings…I am not sure that gives you some ideas or not. After you hook something up one or two times it will make sense. (Paint mark records the setting but I think a jig that you set on to hook up and then just remove would be fine after it’s attached…to me that would be better than fiddling with the width changes)
