Mowing is about the only activity I didnt really enjoy on the M62. HST with no cruise makes my ankle cramp after awhile. Everything else was great. Nice heavy machine and very capable for its size.
Ok, quite a story re delivery….they delivered it on a highboy flatbed truck that drops down the flatbed to unload….well, given the 138” travel heigh for BH, and the height of the flatbed (36-40”) it took out an electrical service drop that crosses the road at the nearby school. Shorted out on the backhoe, POW!
The driver wouldn’t get out until I nipped the last bit of the CT meter conductor that was the only thing connected still and rolled up the triplex cable.
Luckily, the local electric coop is very responsive and came right out and fixed it in a few hrs.
After dealing w that I took it out and put some chert on of our road and back drug it out to fill some gullies that were forming….wanted to use the BH to cut a little drainage ditch off to the side of the road and discovered that one of the outriggers is binding on something and will not extend!
It comes up easy enough, but won’t go down all the way. I think that the piston protector, which has a slot in it, is installed improperly and it is binding….grrr….
I IDed this as a problem in the dealer yard when exercising all the valves and he blew it off as “air in the line, just work it out”….I‘m going to ask that they either bring someone out to fix it in the field or pick it up on Monday. I want them to at least give me some free touch up paint for the burn scar….Not an auspicious start.
Not that smooth w the FEL yet, but not too shabby for a brand new operator. Got in about 2.5 hrs between driving the 3 miles to the property, back and forth w about 10 FEL loads and spread them out (it’s about 3/16ths of a mile between chert pile and rd repair location), and then drove back home.
Can one upload video too? Or must one link to a youtube vid etc?

Where the burn scar is, I would have them remove and inspect the pin as electricity has a funny way of destroying bearings and pins. Lighting strike on a pickup fifth wheel trailer and within 200 miles all wheel bearings needed replacement. Enjoy your new toy and I find I am smoother on the backhoe running at about 1800 RPM's, but I do not have emissions. Therefore, I don't recommend it for you as the SCR/DPF likes full throttle.

From your pictures, it does appear that you DO have the BH bucket quick attach system.
You will be VERY happy with that.
One caution though.
The BH bucket system has a long lock pin, with a lynch pin to secure it from sliding out.
Take that OEM locking lynch pin out, and throw it as far away as you possibly can!
Replace the lynch pin with a common bolt, and two nuts, tightened against each other.
Thus, you will need to carry two small open end wrenches if/when bucket swapping.
Why do this?
If the OEM locking lynch pin is used, it will find a way to fall out of the long bucket pin at the most inopportune moment.
The long bucket pin will then fall out, and you will likely find it next week,.... or maybe next month.
A new bucket lock pin will cost over $100 with shipping, and you will not be digging again until UPS gets the pin to you.
Ask me how I know this!
I actually was lucky,......I found my pin quickly.

Pat’s cat2 to cat1 quick hitch. Like this because I have some older attachments that must fit.
Pin bar anti sway bars.
PTO override clutch for rotary cutters.
Toolbox, chain, chainsaw and long tool carrier. Work requires tools.
Grill guard for grapples if moving brush.
Nice to have backhoe ripper, Mega outrigger pads and guard steps. Carry lots of trees and brush. Kubota Soft Ride, KSR, makes it so much kinder.

+1 on the backhoe ripper!
Much less earth/surface disturbance than conventional bucket when removing roots.
In 3pt mode need heavy rear implements and or rear tire weights or ballast. I have ballast in mine. FEL is scary strong.
I use a 5’ long bottom skidsteer bucket up front with a piranha toothbar. Better for obstacles and woods. Mostly use 6’ long bottom grapple.

I believe that Kubota recommends against wheel/tire ballast on these commercial type machines when BH is attached.

Nice rig. Congratulations. Sounds like it will help you make some money. If you can use it as a tax write off, that’s very helpful. Check out the “Section 179 election” in the Federal tax code.

i’ve a CB3574 4in1 skidder bucket with the straight blade, waiting on the 3rd hydraulic function kit (back ordered) to come in before i can use it tho… but piranha teeth are going on for the back woods, no doubt. i think i’m going to order some piranha teeth for my 84” round back FEL bucket. exercised the FEL pushing some limbs down the hill yesterday, and it is strong.
