I did my own 600 hr service last week and drained 10 gals of Super UDT out of my M4700. It looks fine… slightly yellowish-brownish but otherwise clear and clean…. Wish I had a good use for 10 gals of used hyd fluid.

Or a place to get rid of it…. I put it in the two 5-gal pails the Super UDT-2 came out of….

If I hadn’t already/recently changed the hyd oil in my compactor-roller I’d put it in that. (I used 5-gal NAPA AW46 and 10-gal of Ultra VP generic in that older equipment.).
BY-THE-WAY: The NAPA stuff had some smudge-stuff on the bottom of that brand-new jug…while the VP stuff was absolutely clean! Makes one wonder if NAPA isn’t really some re-branded second-rate off-brand.

Anyway…. as for the used SUDT… I guess I‘ll save it for such things as hydraulic-jack replenishment or Port-A-Power or …???

Spread it on that long gravel driveway next to your airstrip to keep the dust down?

Difficult question really!

Put it on Craigslist...maybe someone would buy it for their log splitter or something.

Here in Washington state stores which sell oil will accept five gallons a day - no charge. You could consider using it in your chainsaw oiler but it might take awhile to use it all.

Just did my 400 hour as well. Same scenario but only like 4 gallons of nice looking oil. I plan on using it for rejuvenating my equipment trailer deck. It does a nice job on the oak planks.

I burn multiple brush piles each year and use used lubrication oils of any type as accelerant.

Currently, I have 2 brush piles awaiting proper conditions to burn and about 5 gallons of used oil on hand. I burn the jugs on the fire at the same time.

A local Amish farm accepts used oil for heating his large buildings. He has a bin next to the road that I simply place my jugs inside.

when i worked at the dealer we used it in the waste oil heater. It'll burn anything but gas and antifreeze. 350,000 btu "clean burn" I think it was. There were times when we ran out and had to get oil from other dealerships. With that said, you might check around-waste oil heaters are gaining popularity, and they'll take whatever they can get to keep the heaters going in the winter.

I like those waste-oil-heater suggestions. The Goodyear Tire dealer(West Tire) in nearby Marble Falls used to have one… but he went out-of-business (probably because he wouldn’t fix flats on his own tire-sales…he charged me $20 for fix a flat on a tire he’d sold me only the week prior…. while Discount Tire will fix any flat Free…and don’t care Who you bought from. WalMart will fix tires they’ve sold if you produce the receipt.)

Anyway… down here in Texas there isn’t much call for heaters OR oil, especially used-oil.

I like the idea of using it as an “accelerant” except I don’t need much of that… a squirt of diesel takes care of any burning I do.).

There is supposedly a “law” down here that anyone who sells oil has to take an equal amount of “used” oil for recycling.…. I wonder if the Kubota dealer will do that since that’s where I bought it…. ??
Same with NAPA where I bought theirs and the generic… ?

I’ll contact them and post back.

In years past, I gave my used oil to my local CNH/Kubota dealer for use in their waste oil shop heater but they built a new building and did away with the waste oil furnace.

Most of the brush piles that I burn are dry and need no accelerant but it's a handy way to get rid of the used oil.

Why not just run through a finer filter and reuse it ? oil doesn't really go 'bad' and if refiltered properly ,should be good to go. you could mix with new,say 50-50.
after all it WAS in your tractor for the past 600 hrs.....

It was in there since 1996 or I wouldn’t have drained it out and replaced it…. I would have simply changed the filters and continued in-use. It may have all kinds of corrosive elements in it…and Kubota wants it replaced at 600 hours…. so I did.

It might be useful for hydraulic jacks or ???

Tomorrow morning, I'll have 5 gallons of this same question. It's been since 2011 the last change of fluid and filter. But hey... If it's working, why mess with it?

I always buy my car and truck oil filters brakes at the same auto zone. I dump up to 5 5qt jugs of old motor oil and hydro at a time.

I use my oil to mix 50/50 with diesel fuel to coat the bottom of posts, soon will be using to coat floor of trailer I'm buying.

When I do have a surplus I have 2 Auto Zones and 1 NAPA store I carry it to for recycling. They are both close by, they only except up to 5 gallons at a time. No cost and easy, walk in tell them what I'm doing go to the back log my contact info and dump in the drum. walk out and tell them thank you as I go by the counter.

I burn mine in the wood stove in the shop in the winter, using a needle valve to control the drip rate. Just run the stove hard with wood, and a 1/2 second drip rate burns really clean, with no smell.
