well, tomorrow I have to turn the key to run and check the hour meter. Kinda strange it would increase, past machines used the oil pressure sensor to trigger 'running engine...to trigger the hour meter.

OK, turned key on, rebuilt a snowblower.....so time passed(1 1/4 hrs )... The hourmeter on BX23S stayed at 1133.5 so it needs engine to be running to update the time. Might take oil pressure or alternator tach output ?

Don't know if my Kubota hour meter runs with ONLY the key on or not.
Found out the hard way, that my SCAG ZTR mower certainly does.

I turn my ignition on when I'm running my wand sprayer - I wired the sprayer into an accessory loop, not directly to the battery. I don't spray that often, and drive between places, but I prefer not to leave the tractor idling while I spray.

My L2501 is cable driven for both tach and hour meter.

You're right. I've just had a heck of a year. Lost everything in a tornado (matador tx june of this year) Working on rebuild/replacing everything and have had so many issues with companies. I'm just tired. And I love the tractor so I don't want issues when i bring it in for service.

That said, I do plan to follow up with them after all of the responses here and input from friends. I appreciate it
matador was/is terrible. took out the substation and a lot more property. Hope you guys are getting closer to recovery.

We are getting there! My home is about 50% and the substation is starting. Diner is about 30%, some barns are back. I'm realizing how priceless large trees really are. The community has been amazing the whole time though! So many donations and plenty physical help. I've been able to help neighbors and hope to continue with my 4060 as we get everything built
