85 B8200 HST 4WD w/ BF300 loader, box scraper w/rippers, Rhino brush hog
I just acquired an 85 B8200 HST 4WD With loader, box scraper, and bush hog. It had the same owner for the last 20 yrs maintaining 10 acres in southern AZ. Unfortunately he must have only used water in the cooling system. There is a 3/8" hole in the water flange bolted to the head behind the water pump. There also appears to have been leaking from the gasket also. The previous owner removed the sheet metal , radiator, fan, water pump, alternator, and air cleaner, then died before doing anything else. I know I am missing the oil cooler and probably some nuts and bolts, but that I'll figure out later. I drained the oil, first getting some clear water then very black oil. Since the engine wouldn't turn with a rubber strap wrench, I guess I'll have to remove the glow plugs to add some penetrating oil and see if there is water in any cylinders. It won't surprise me if I end up removing the head. I'll get a few pics tomorrow.
I don't have a shop nor operator's manual yet, so my only question right now is the best source for one, preferably in pdf format. I do have the parts diagrams which will be very helpful and have read many posts and articles here. I will appreciate any help along the way and will be happy to share my experience.
