Good morning All!
New member on this site, and just wanted to introduce myself.
I live in Alberta, about 2hrs east of Edmonton, and we have 7.5 acres of older crop land, purchased in 2010. To date we have built a 30 x60 steel shop, with living quarters on the mezzanine. All the services are in (NG, Well, septic, etc. We have planted 900 trees around the perimeter for a shelter belt, have about a 1/2 acre garden plot, and perimeter hydrants about every 200 m for treeline irrigation. (The BH92 is an awesome trencher, water lines are all 2.5m deep) Last summer I dug the basement for our house, and hope to get started on construction this spring.
I am currently employed with DND as an electrical generating systems technician, and my wife works for Alberta Health Services in home care. We plan to retire on the acreage in the next few years, so I gotta bust my butt to "get r done".
Lots of "projects" to complete, but time is on our side, for now,
Looking forward to swapping stories with you,
Dave
