I just picked up this tractor and can not for the life of me figure out how to engauge the 4X4!! I have the owners man. and it shows several more levers than I have. I think that is due to mine being a "N" for narrow. I took pics of all the levers I could find. Does anyone have any ideas?
#1 is PTO clutch
#2 is PTO engauge
#3 is gear shift levers
#4 and #9 is E-Brake
#5 is 3 point float
#6 is 3 point up and down
#7 is rear auxiliary hyd.
#8 is rear diff lock (I think?)

The 4wd is electrically controlled because it has bispeed steering, so no manual 4wd engagement. ;)

The WSM will have a wiring schematic.

Get the Operator's manual it should explain how it works, and then if needed get the WSM for it.

OPS P/N 35569-99715

WSM P/N 97897-10127

Go to kubotausa.com and select parts.

Then choose the illustrated parts list for you tractor - I assume it's a M7030DT-N-B. Choose the labels category and you will find "T13600 Label 1" and expand that. On this parts illustration you'll find a label for 4WD. It shows that this label is located on the dash just a little left of bottom center. Since this is a stick on label, I would assume that will be where the switch will be located.

... I do have an extra switch on the dash. ...
So... this switch could be for engaging the 4WD.

I contacted my local dealer and spoke with one of the mechanics. He explained how the system works. I told him about the problems I was having and that I was trying to find a WSM for the tractor. He said I would need the WSM plus the "N" supplement. He looked at his and told me it did not look like it would be worth the money they wanted for it and that it did not have any real wiring schematics in it. He went on to tell me what to look for on my tractor to determine what needed to be repaired. Turns out the wiring that runs from the front left axle has been removed along with a bracket, a spring and some tubing. Ill start work on that this weekend.

I got the owners man. for it. It says Nothing about the "N" series. It even shows engaugeing the 4x4 with a lever rather than a switch.

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to this, I had 2 heart attacks in 12 hours and while in the hospital recovering, I began to pass kidney stones! Recuperation has been my #1 goal!

I got the tractor back from the shop and returned it to the seller. The shop said the entire front end needed rebuilding along with the entire electrical system. The 2 solenoids that operate the 4x4 were burnt out and cost $700 each to replace. The seller did not have a problem taking it back, he said he would use it for replacement parts for some of his other tractors. Now I'm back on the hunt for a larger tractor than my M4000 2x4.
