New to me B7200 w/ 60" belly mower- RPM's

Hi I just purchased a B7200HST with a 60" belly mower. The man I bought it from said he always ran it at 2000 to 2200 rpm's. Is this the best range for mowing ? I also would like to get a blade to move light snow occasionally. Anyone have a suggestion as to what's best ?

I have a b7100 with mid mount 60 inch. I give mine full throttle then back off to about 3/4 throttle. I do not have a tack on mine.handy

Running the engine at those speeds will be fine as long as you don't stress the motor(bog it down). In longer grass and hilly terrain you may want to increase the engine speed.
