Picked up a really nice "barn find" b7200 hst 4x4 with only 880 original hours
spent its life inside a garage, been sitting for the last 2 year (not run at all)

With a new battery, it fired up, got in on the trailer and hauled it home.

New fluids and filters will be happening this weeked

But for right now, i have a question

sitting on the tractor

On the left side is a lever. It shows a rabbit and turtle. The lever moved freely but what does it do?

and

Under that lever, there is a black knob (opposite of the decompression knob) what does that do?

The rabbit and turtle are speed ranges.. I don't know what the black knob is for. I suggest you track down an owner's manual.

The decomp nob is used to help start it. It opens the exhaust valves a little bit so the engine spins over easier. Typically it's sized up as it's seldomly if ever needed.

On really cold (<0F) a few seconds of decompression helps with starting.
My grandkid says it sounds 'cool' , like a big rig starting.

thank you

And the lever i was talking about was the speed set lever. Kinda like a cruise control. I thought mine was broke or didnt work, but i just had to push it forward a little more

what the difference between the engine stop knob and the decompression knob

I used the engine stop knob to shut the tractor off
The engine stop knob operates a fuel shutoff to kill the engine. Pull it to stop the engine and don't forget to turn the ignition switch off because it wont start when you come back in a day or so (you will and more than once,,,)

The decompression knob is used when starting the engine.. Preheat glow plugs, pull decompression out and hold hit starter and as soon as it spins up good release the decompress. A must on first start in cold weather.
