I purchased a b6000 this past week. The seller bought a farm somewhere and the tractor was there and he sold it to me. He said it runs but he ran the battery down because he said he forgot to turn the fuel on. Anyway I got it home after buying it for a good price. It has a snow plow. I plan on changing all the fluids and fuel before trying to start it. Any suggestions on this task will be greatly appreciated. Also I am interested in mowing the lawn with this. What is the best way to achieve success? I would rather have a belly mower if it is at all possible. But I also want a cost effective solution as it seems most of the three point hitch parts are missing. Thanks in advance for any and all advice.

Hey chip. On the older kubota's the belly mower's were a pain in the butt to mount and dismount and if it has a rear pto that turns in the right direction a rear mount finish mower does a pretty good job. And there are lots of usefull rear mount implements you can buy or make for the tph. You can buy a 3ph from service dept vic on this forum or ebay or maybe even a local farm equipment dealer. Or at least I think Vic has them, I shouldnt make promises for other people. Even if the pto turns in the wrong direction there are people on this forum who can show you how to fix that. Good Luck.:D dusty

I located a pto reverser and paid dearly for it. I also have to replace the 10 spline shaft to an 18 spline but the cost being WAY more than I wanted to spend may be worth it because reverse pto implements are impossible to locate. My question is what is the largest rear finish mower deck will the B6000 handle on a normal 2 acre lawn with small hills ? Also is the pto reverser going to cause problems with the length of the pto or tph hookups ?

Hey Chip. I would'nt go any bigger than a 4 foot. The pto reverser should not be a problem for the tph but you may have to shorten the pto shaft. You just pull the pto shaft apart and cut equal lengths from both ends . :D Keep us posted. Dusty
