Good evening all! I've been lurking in the background for about 5 years since buying my 2016 BX25D ... love it BTW. I've timed the launch of a YouTube channel with the purchase of a 2021 Kubota Mini-Ex ... I should take delivery of the new unit sometime in the next 2 to 3 months. I'm happy to be here just in case I need some help with something on the new machine. I was wondering, is there somewhere on the forum where it would be appropriate to advertise my YouTube Channel? It's brand new - and it will be heavy on the Kubota content, especially in the first few years as I build capacity and develop my 50 acre property.

Thanks again for all the help in the past ... and for all the help moving forward.

James

Don't know the answer to your question about advertising your channel, but congrats on the new mini ex. I bough an older used one in December (KX41-2V, weighs about 3800 pounds) to replace my 3PH backhoe...will not find out what I got until spring though...too cold to have fun except for plowing snow.

What mini ex did you buy? New is nice.

Hi Henro

I'm still deciding which one to buy but I've narrowed it down to either the KX-033 or the KX-040. I've got another thread happening over in the "Buying & Advice" area. I've got to assume that telling people about my YouTube channel will be okay as I've found a spot in my profile settings to actually input my Channel's URL and allow people to link right to it from OTT. I don't know why I waited so long to join this forum ... I'm seriously considering the $60 lifetime membership - great content.

I have a 2016 BX25D with the back-hoe on the back and it's been great - but man, such a small area to put material when trenching and I find myself moving the tractor every 5 minutes. Having the excavator and 360° of possible bucket dumping area will be a game changer! I will probably never use the hoe on the BX25D ever again.

My brother in law has the KX-41 and I think he likes it a lot ... he is a landscaper. I hear you about the snow ... I'm in Ontario Canada ... I've had enough for one winter.

I'm an hour outside of the GTA. Eastern Ontario is nice. I have family in the Ottawa area. You'll love your BX I'm sure - I have almost 500 hours on mine and the only thing I have contributed is diesel, manufacturer's scheduled maintenance and monthly payments. Gotta love orange!

I bet you will for small things. One thing I noticed is the excavator is really slow compared to the tractor to get somewhere. You will likely find that for a little thing here and there, that the BX with backhoe is the tool of choice.

Of course, if you have to put the hoe on the tractor, time wise it may be wash. In my case, the 3PH backhoe can take a while to put on, as I have to remove my top and two tilt cylinders (3 cylinders total) and putting the hoe on can either go easy or be a real pain...
