Howdy,
Looks like a nice forum you have here. Figured I had better sign up since I recently purchased a(orange tractor)BX1500.
It has a LA181 FEL and RCK48-15BX MMM, there are 700+ hours on the meter, it was located 400 miles away and cost a tad under 7k.
This new to me BX1500 is hopefully going to cut grass / perform light yard work in the summer and clear snow from a 150' gravel driveway in the winter.
So far I have purchased the operators manual, changed the engine oil (10/30), transmission/hydro fluid (Super UDT) and front axle fluid (80/90), changed the air filter, oil filter, trans filter, cleaned the trans suction line screen, replaced the 2 fuel filters, all filter and fluids are Kubota brand products(purchased locally).Removed the MMM and FEL and washed the tractor and MMM. Greased the FEL, MMM and tractor using Chevron Ultra-Duty Grease EP/NLGI. Also canged the fluid in the gear box (80/90) on the MMM. The front axle pivot bolt needed to be torqued to spec as well.
Seems like a nice tractor so far, the only seriouse flaw I have found is the underside of the MMM has a ton of rust, seems like I must have washed away at least a pound of metal/paint while cleaning it. Going to try and cut some grass today and see how it operates.
Here are some pics....
Hopefully after some time on this tractor and studying the forum I will learn some tips, tricks and other useful info so that I can give back to others.
Thanks for your time and knowledge, peace.
