Hello all,

I've been browsing the forums for a while and researching which machine to purchase. After nearly a year I decided it was time. I went to the dealer expecting to pick up a B2601 but ended up purchasing a B2650 with SSQA, BB1254, RCR1548, and a set of pallet forks. I'll be using it to maintain 4.5 acres. After putting a few hours on it I am very satisfied with my purchase!

Congrats on your new purchase! That's a terrific setup you have and you'll be impressed with it more and more every time you use it. I also waffled between the same two tractors and went with the B2650. Hands down the right choice for me and what I use it for. Even for mowing....the turning radius is very impressive!! Enjoy your new "steed".

I also went with the 2650 over the 2601, it made the upgrade from the BX23s worth it. Wish I would have started out with the 2650, it is more stable on my hills. Assumed the BX with the lower CG would be better, but it wasn***8217;t. Good luck and enjoy working the land!

What made you go with the 2650 over the 2601 ? Was there a big price difference ?
I went with the intention of purchasing a 2601, but after sitting on the two machines, there was a much larger difference than you would think. I’m 6’5” and never miss a meal, so the controls on the fender of the 2601 were tight against my legs. It made it very easy when I compared the price difference and the 2650 was only $13 more a month. The 2650 was also the recommendation of my salesman from the start. I kept thinking of everyone saying buy a bigger tractor then you think you need. So far I’m very pleased with it.

I purchased a Ratchet Rake and that has been very awesome as well. I had some forestry mulching done and have been using it to scrape up a lot of the mulch into piles. Next use will be pulling vines out of some trees and clearing a few small areas.
