I agree, that thing looks great! Some engines issues it sounds like but once solved it should serve you very well. Would it be worth just paying the dealer to diagnose the engine issues? Not sure how much that would cost, but that may be an option to get you quickly on the right track.

Unless you want to tackle it all yourself, then forget what I said! :)
I like doing things myself even if it takes two times as long and cost twice as much... LOL
I really don't need it this year but want to have this done by next year this time, that's enough time to do it right.

I will keep this thread going with progress pictures.

I really appreciate all the replies, I have new motivation.

No matter what you run into for repairs, if you have a camera and can post pictures and report what you have done, there will be someone who can give you the next step of guidance.

With a set of metric wrenches and some will power you can make that tractor last forever.:D

You will notice this forum has folks who respond quickly!!

Here's a better picture of the serial #, is this definitely a 1993 model tractor?

I don't see a date code on the rims, only an "H" stamped into each one of them.

According to tractordata.com it's a 1984 model???? The front 6 lug wheels tell a different story though.

Sorry, I was looking at the wrong model, not the HST....1993 model year it is. Sorry for the confusion.

That tractor (B7100, number 68027) was sold brand new 10/11/1993, from a dealer in Columbia, MO.

Kubota's don't have specific year models, well the RTV's do, but not the tractors. At least not that I know of.

Guess it never got very far from home then.

Is that information stored in the dealers computer because of service records?

When I asked the dealer about my L305 he looked in his computer, and couldn't find anything close to the serial number. He was trying to verify it by any records of other tractors. No luck!

At some point they must have come up with a sales/owner recording system. Maybe to track stolen equipment brought to dealers for repairs or parts.

Wow... Thanks for that info. Kind of rare to know stuff like this even on an old car.
