I’ve got a new M7060 cab tractor with 8 speed. It came with the newer style R1 metric radial tires on it all 4 filled with fluid. It vibrates terribly at nearly all speeds, all gears, all RPMs, 2wd or 4wd. About the only time it don’t feel like it’s vibrating itself apart is at 2000 RPM, 8th gear doing about 18mph down the road. I have experimented with 2wd/4wd, no change, I thought the front diff was fighting rear diff (that’s the sensation of get) but obviously not the case. I’ve checked fluid height in tires to be sure they were not completely full. They are 75% full as they should be. At the moment don’t remember the exact numbers, but air pressure is set to tire manufacturers specs.

Any ideas?

Does it vibrate in neutral?

Could be tire vibration-but that normally speeds up in frequency as travel speed increases.

Another question. Is the vibration audible? Can you hear it? Is it like maybe something rattling, or is this something that you can feel through the floorboard, or steering wheel only or?

What are the tire sizes?

It’s not a hearing/audible vibration, but a felt vibration. When in gear and moving is the only time it’s there. The entire cab feels like it’s going to shake off the frame and the upright exhaust looks like it’s going to break off of the manifold.

This is from my M7040 manual.

I do not know if the 7060 would be the same.

I did fill the front tires on my own. I cut some hills that I shouldn’t be on and MUST have frt tires filled to keep the front end on the ground when going uphill.

I think that is why Kubota provides for the use of front weights.

Kubota actually recommend against liquid ballast in any tires back or front and especially radials. the ballast really shouldn't be causing a vibration though, I suspect lowering the tire pressure will help and it could be a harmonics set up by tread design.

An additional issue with the front wheels compared to the back ones is that the wheels can oscillate in two planes: up and down and laterally which greatly increases the opportunity for some harmonic vibration to be amplified and become intolerable.

The front suitcase style weights do not contribute to any rotational issues.

As you have said, it only happens with the tractor in motion which eliminates a lot of expensive problems.

I'll go out on a limb and say I'd never fill any front tires with anything, but then I don't believe in filled tires because of the ground compaction issues.

Having said that, you have R1's (just like I do on both my M's), and both my M's exhibit some felt vibration when traveling on hard surfaces and always have, it's an inherent characteristic with bar tread tires.

I ignore it. always been there always will be there because of the tire design.

I can see the rationale in filling tires on a compact but a utility tractor at least for me), no way, especially when you can spec any M with cast centers for added traction.

Having said that, I don't know your intended end use but be apprised that dismounting any of the tires and rims (filled)for any reason will be quite a chore weight wise.

What brand and model tires do you have? What are they inflated to?

Gentlemen, thank you all for your thoughts and input! It’s greatly appreciated!
I will play with tire pressure this weekend and liquid levels in tires to see what happens. It’s not something I can’t live with, but sure makes the tractor ‘feel’ like it’s coming apart. My dad has a M6060 open station with non radial R1 ag tires that is smooth as silk and the reason I opted for the M7060 cab tractor. Don’t get me wrong, I really love my 7060 ! Just want to keep it from vibrating itself apart. At this point I only have 26 hours on it and the lugs on the tires are still real sharp and real tall. Lol

On a side note, y’all are going to blast me for the main intended use of my tractor.... bush hogging....

I live in south central Tennessee about 10 minutes from Jack Daniels distillery and maintain 33 acres all the time and help my Dad with additional 130 acres that borders my 33 acres. We have BIG STEEP hills. Lol
I do not have the gonads to attempt going side to side on our hills, so I cut them up and down. I never cut with the loader on the tractor because that’s just asking to roll it over with the loader on it. Without the loader on, the front end was dancing 1-3’ in the air going up hills cutting. I then filled the front tires and now the front end stays planted on the ground and I have much better control.

Truth be known, I should have bought goats instead of the 7060, but I really love my 7060. It also purposes as a bad weather deer stand, plowing, tilling, planting food plots, and a hay tractor.

So the Alliance Farm Pro 2 tires say to inflate to 23psi. That***8217;s where I had them. Dropped rear to 15psi and HUGE improvement. Dropped rear to 12 and now its great. Front tires are still at 25 for occasional loader use.

I LOVE THIS TRACTOR!!! Went to a 8 foot dual spindle cutter this year and now I have the perfect package.
