So I put a post about the new tractor being a pleasure to operate. Well it’s still a nice tractor it has a couple different rattles. They are really bad I’ve tried to locate them but can’t. Its more so when your on rough terrain/brushhogging. Almost like a bolt rolling around in a cup holder sound( no it’s not that). I know it’s not end of world but annoying as hell. Just hope this isn’t an issue for anyone else. Rattle is located by range selector and other seems like under dash.

What engine RPM is it worst at? It might be easier to locate if engine is running at the worst case RPM. Can you reproduce it with just the engine running and not the bush hog? Metallic or plastic part noise?

No the rattle one comes when moving seems like on rough terrain. I looked at where the range selector and pto selector go through plastic cover and through the floor into transmission. Everything is isolated and seem tight. Like I said the tractor is still usable just frustrating for new product. I will keep digging and find it soon or later. Maybe keep radio loud too haha.

You could explain the noise till the cows come home but until you make a video of it we are all just going to have to just keep guessing what it is. ;)

I was gonna do a video today. But I think I may have found it. There is a wire harness under the cup holder there is enough play in it it was hitting the fender and bottom of cup holder. Fingers crossed anyway, if not a video will follow.

I've noticed that the bucket level indicator on the MX6000 rattles at certain rpm. It was apparent this past winter while blowing or pushing snow. Not a big deal but like you I don't do well when machines rattle.

I noticed a rattle under the M6060 when pulling the folding cutter around which detracts from the experience of using two great pieces of equipment. I'll crawl underneath at some point to see what's causing the sound and get it sorted. Of course, sound can travel and appear to be coming from one area when it's actually coming from somewhere else.

I’m glad I’m not alone. I know it’s not a Cadillac driving on the highway. But at 13 hrs everything should stay tight and not rattle my opinion anyways, and one really notices it in a cab model forsure

Yep, no one designs in a rattle unless they manufacture dog toys, baby toys or maracas. A rattle on any vehicle is an artifact of poor design, poor fit, insufficient damping etc.

I don’t know about the LX series, but on the B series, the Rops will rattle if you don’t install the bolts that tighten them up to prevent rattling.

yes I had a older bx that I remember just about doing everything but welding the ROPS and the front grill guard from rattling and squeaking.
