I find it hard to believe the LX3310 doesn't use glow plugs? I've never heard of a Kubota tractor that doesn't, except the M8 which doesn't have a Kubota engine. And even so, the intake heater design should be equally effective - all the Cummins diesel pickups use an intake heater and no glow plugs, and they start as well as anything. Definitely has nothing to do with being turbocharged...the Grand L higher horsepower models and MX models have turbos and glow plugs.

Seriously, for the few added HP and nothing more I wonder why buyers go for the 3310 over the 2610 when the 3310 simply adds turbo and the requisite pita DPF systems.

All needing operator attention and are added systems subject to failure compared to the 26 hp emissions-control-free engine.

Any B50 or LX series owners out there that couldn't function without the few added HP?

So glad I went with my B2650 not B3350. Sure, may be a little slower at chipping up larger stuff, or break through brush stands faster with the bush hog, but not much more.

Now I'm hearing the 3310 has issues with very cold operation, harder to start, too cold for regen cycles.

No thanks.

It might be done because these motors have a turbo on them. Not sure, just putting this out there.
B3350 with turbo has glow plugs as does L6060, M9960, etc.

35% more HP is an enormous increase.

It sure is, but how much of that is more usable with the same weight tractor? I'd personally consider the L3560LE or L4060LE instead of a more deluxe model or L3901. Each has significant more weight and in the respect of the 3560LE and 4060LE can be upgraded to a much more powerful loader.

Where do you want to stop?

35% is enormous indeed, but I come up with 27% increase not 35%. Please show me your numbers and math.

My numbers are 33HP vs 26HP.
So 33/26 = 1.27 which tells me it's a 27% increase.

Or even 26HP with 7HP increase:

7/27 = 26% increase looked at that way.

Try your math with stated PTO (19.5 vs 27) hp. I believe that's what SDT was referring to.

All of it on the PTO.

I, too would consider the L3560 if I wanted similar HP, but the comparison was between the 2610 and the 3310.

because the increase in PTO HP is significant, it is unmistakably noticeable when doing PTO field work verses using a B2601 (same PTO HP as 2610) or BX.

cold soaked single digits & teens (°F), no problems in any aspect of operation including starting, running or regen. It was updated by the dealer but no issues beforehand either.

So far, my tractor has worked flawlessly. With that being said I do keep it in a unheated garage and winter has been more quite mild. My biggest reason for moving to the LX3310 was the extra pto hp which was a huge improvement over the 2610. Would a L35/40 be even better for some? Yes, but not for me.

DPF so far has been a none issue. 3 regens in 125-130 hours and I just kept working although I had to bump up the rpm in one of them slightly.

LX3510 and LX4010 to be introduced any day.

Both have new and quieter HST.

So far, my tractor has worked flawlessly. With that being said I do keep it in a unheated garage and winter has been more quite mild. My biggest reason for moving to the LX3310 was the extra pto hp which was a huge improvement over the 2610. Would a L35/40 be even better for some? Yes, but not for me.

3 regens in 125 hrs? Mine has avg. every 16 hrs

I normally operate around 2000 rpm unless blowing, tilling, or mowing, then it is 2300-2400
First regen was at 18 hours. Lower rpm loader work. Next one was at 118. Probably 110 tilling/mowing and the last 8 loader work. Next one was around 15 and more loader work.

You must have some seriously flat ground. I have a 60” rfm and sometimes that is too wide, lol
S-G-R, Did you have the recall done on the fuel system? I have not, my dealer has not been in this area. I am almost two hours away and I do not have a trailer.
