Pretty excited to see a sign on my morning commute for my local Kubota dealer setting up a new store / service center about 5 miles from my house. The closest dealer where I purchased my B3200 is 40 miles one way. The little town of Broadway OH will now have one more business to go with the gas station, bar and convenience store. Still no traffic light but I'm not complaining there.

I will say, even though I haven't had to use them yet, it is a nice feeling to have a dealer so close. It was high on my list when I purchased my tractor last August.

My dealer is about an 8 minute drive. They also have full mobile service.

That's what I am thankful for. The fact that my dealer is close by, 11 miles. I have been dealing with them for twenty years. The first tractor that I purchased from them was a John Deere when they were a dual brand dealership, JD and Kubota. John Deere tried to force them to drop Kubota and it backfired. They dropped JD. Nice people and a large assortment of equipment and parts.

Yes, that will be nice when you need them.

I too am lucky, dealer about 10 miles from my work and a salesman that works there lives bout 5 miles from me and attends my church. he is always willing to drop off anything by my house any day on his way home.

Good thing is I rarely need anything from the dealer, Katie Kubota is in great shape.

I'm within feet of my favorite dealer...AKA Internet.
Local Kubota dealer is (75 miles away), has limited stock on hand, over priced and wants too much for shipping in parts.
I get on the computer and within days I've got the parts I need.
Yea I'm a bit spoiled I do all my own work on everything I own.
Why pay someone else to do what I can do, I'm cheaper, faster and do my own quality control checks. :D

My local dealer is 4 miles down the hill and has a fairly large parts stock. Their prices are as good or many times better than most of the internet dealers that are touted in here.

I plan on doing all my own maintenance on my B3200 but it will be nice to be able to stop by with a question or take a look at some new toys. When I bought it last year, the sales rep recommended picking up some extra sheer bolts for the brush hog and told me to go to Rural King or TSC. Same for fluids. Said they (Kubota) charged way too much for this stuff. I may call them to see if they will price match with online vendors for the small stuff. That being said, if you need it right now, you may have to pay their prices.

I'd suggest to not follow the sales rep's advice on the quality of service items. He may know all about the features and benefits of some of the hardware he sells, but he doesn't know about the fluids (oil products) if his comment is with Kubota you pay too much.

If your doctor told you to save money, just go online and do a search for what pains you and do whatever they say, you'll be fine. Would you follow that advise? No me! I want the "Real McKoy".

I agree! If you don't want to use Kubota oil in the transmission of your Kubota tractor don't call your dealer if the shuttle don't work on a cold morning or the powershift is jumpy or the hst is noisy because the first thing I'll ask you is what oil is in there and when it was last changed! And if you bought a M7 kvt don't just dump any hydraulic oil into it as one of my customers did this week! They have a specific oil that you must use.

There is something to be said if you have the facilities and confidence to work on your own stuff... the Kubota is just the tip of the iceberg here.
